Adobe Premiere is a very complex program from what I've heard... I don't think anyone here uses it, either. I could be wrong, but... I still use WMM @~@

animemusicvideos.org is the place to be for AMV guides. I recommend learning about Avisynth also. Its a free program that works perfect together with Premiere and the other Adobe programs you can use for AMV's. I will switch to the Adobe trio soon(Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects).

But this doesn't mean I wont use Sony Vegas and some other programs anymore, since those programs also have alot of good points.

I always used it but lately it ruined some video's. So I switched to Sony Vegas, another program used by many people on this forum. It's not as complex as Adobe. But you should use the one you understand the most. Feel free to send me your questions on Windows Moviemaker.

Indeed, Avisynth is good stuff. I'll admit, though, there's no guide I've actually seen to make AMVs directly from Avisynth. Fortunately.... you have someone who's had some experience.

A word of caution, though: Avisynth does have a bit of a learning curve. On top of that, there's no GUI... everything you do, from a resize to a crossfade, is written into a text file. It takes a lil while to get used to the syntax.

On the upside, though, you have incredible precision over what you want in your video. Literally, precision down to the frame level that's 100% reproducible.

WMM DOES ruin some movies, but if you reset the output from standard to High Quality Video Large, or small, or whatever, its better.
