Clips Won't Play--Codec's Needed

I tried playing clips from the site, and they wouldn't run. I downloaded the combined community codec pack and they worked fine.

Until now. They will no longer play, and the codec pack won't re-install (I uninstalled).

When I click, it said, "needs to reboot before installer can run".

I rebooted three times, and each time got the same message

Nevermind! I tied the FFDShow Codecs and it worked great!
