Pinnacle Studio Plus or Sony Vegas?

Soo... my dad has a copy of this video editor known as Pinnacle Studio Plus or whatever... and I want to know before I install; which is better? Sony Vegas or Pinnacle? By better I mean better effects and simplicity.

I've used Pinnacle, and find it to have almost the same GUI and limits as Windows Movie Maker. Sony Vegas so far has limitless possibilities and its superior to Pinnacle.

FYI.

Besides Windows Movie Maker and Sony Vegas. I've also used Pinnacle, Power Director, and Adobe Premiere. And while Adobe Premiere is superior to Sony Vegas. I just don't think I'm read for Adobe Premiere yet. But from what I've seen and experienced first hand. Pinnacle, Power Director, and Windows Movie Maker all work the same. Except Pinnacle and Power Director don't crash as often.
