A few days ago a trailer for a Sonic film was released. The film's will be called "Night of the Werehog" and yes it is based off of the upcoming Sonic game "Sonic Unleashed".
The release is sometime this month at the following address.

Semi-old news for me... but you beat me too it (posting a topic that is)
I'm actually looking forward to this... I've been looking forward to a new Sonic movie...er...animated short or w/e lately. I hope it's good.

Looks pretty interesting actually....but whose that weird looking new character? XD...
I like the detail they put in "Werehog's" shoes. The spikes on the bottom are a nice touch.
