My darling, my darling, oh, what has become of thee?
Once proud and full of passion, now wasted in front of me.
My darling, my darling, do not fear of being alone,
My darling, my darling, my pain, it is your home.

Rest assured sweet child, in the darkness of the night, I'll be there.

My darling, my darling, oh, what has become of you now?
Once proud and full of passion, full of sickness now allowed.
My darling, my darling, oh, why now are you so sad,
Was it the darkest of the nights or the maddest of the mad?
My darling, my darling! Be careful what now you do...
My darling, my darling, my promise, me to you...

When your world comes crashing down, I'll be there.
When your world burns to the ground, I'll be there.
When your dreams are but a pile of ashes... I'll be there...
And when your final moments arrive, I'll be there, laughing...

In the whispers of the night,
In the symptoms of your blight,
When everything's not right!

You can somehow rest assured, my darling...
I'll be there.

Oh my darling, oh my darling! Your life is but a joke!
Oh who did you think you were fooling? Final act, you choked!

Dark... I know...

Not sure the inspiration. The words just came to me. But as I think... it actually holds deep meaning to me. Probably one of my more "truthful" works of art as of late.
